Unity’s Chant Club enriches school masses and worship through singing. In addition to singing at daily masses, the club meets two times per month to learn and practice Gregorian Chant, the oldest form of music used in the Catholic Church.
The Chess Club at Unity meets twice a month to provide members the opportunity to play the game of chess and to teach the game to those who would like to learn. The club leadership organizes occasional tournaments, as well.
Debate Club meets twice a month to learn about debate practices and participate in debates. Members are given topics to research prior to the meetings and assigned a side to prepare for debate. Meetings typically cover 2-3 topics.
Unity’s Literary Society nurtures the development of lifelong readers by providing members the opportunity to read and discuss works from a variety of literary genres outside of the classroom. The Lit Society meets twice per month to discuss the readings.
Unity’s Prolife Club focuses on education, support, and prayer to promote the culture of life from conception until natural death. Prolife Club meets 3-4 times per month to discuss life issues, as well as plan and carry out service projects. Each month, Prolife Club organizes packing lunches for Sharing and Caring Hands and packing meals at Feed My Starving Children.
The Ski Club meets 2-4 times per month during the ski season. Ski Club members meet at local ski hills to ski and snowboard. The club provides recreation, physical activity, and community building.
Swing Dance Club meets once a week after school. A professional instructor teaches the members basic swing dance steps, including lifts and flips when appropriate. The club performs at the Fine Arts Showcase and the Spring Banquet. In 2022, the club is hoping to host a Swing Dance Evening at the parish.
Tennis Club meets in the fall two to three times per week. A volunteer tennis coach instructs the players. The sessions focus on building tennis skills and playing intramural games. Last fall, the club collaborated with St. Croix Lutheran for some intermural play, as well.
The Ultimate Frisbee Club meets once a week after school to play Ultimate. A volunteer coach and the captains run practices and scrimmages. During the winter months, club members can elect to continue to meet and take part in outdoor winter recreation or indoor games, such as floor hockey.
The Yearbook Committee is responsible for putting together the school’s high-quality yearbook. Yearbook Committee members take photos, write copy, design layouts, and edit the book.
Time commitment varies throughout the year, with the majority of the meetings taking place in second semester.
